| | I heard from a Boise City patrol officer, who emphasized that use of the curb space for right turns as you described is not merely "not illegal," but affirmatively recommended. The Idaho Driver's Manual says, "...approach the intersection in the right-hand lane, staying as close to the right curb as is reasonable," with the usual warning to watch for bicyclists and pedestrians.
