The Floating Feather, Eagle to Edgewood project will widen Floating Feather Road from the existing 2-lanes to 3-lanes wide. The 3-lane roadway will span from State Highway 55 (Eagle Road) to Edgewood Lane. Construction will include curb, gutter, sidewalks and bike lanes as well as the widening of the bridge between Eagle and Edgewood.
Once complete, this road will better accommodate traffic as well as provide safe facilities for bicyclists and pedestrians.
The contractor for this project is Knife River.
Between March 10 and April 11, 2008, there will be no access on Floating Feather between Eagle Hills and Eagle Road. This closure is to allow for sewer work to be completed. Detour signs are in place with Beacon Light as the recommended detour route.
