ACHD's Adopt-a-Highway Program is a litter control program
that allows private citizens to support
the Ada County Highway District's anti-litter campaign by “adopting”
sections of roadway and agreeing to keep them clean. It offers
organizations an inexpensive project that gives members the
satisfaction of making a contribution to the community. It also
generates publicity for the group’s service activities.
-
An organization or family may apply to “adopt” a section of roadway.
Examples include youth groups, neighborhood associations, church groups,
and service groups.
- Through an adoption, the group will have the responsibility of
removing litter within that section of roadway a minimum of four times a
year for two years. ACHD will let you know what roads are
available.
- You need to fill out an application.

Citizen's Packet.
- If, after reviewing the material, your group/family decides to
participate, please complete the application and agreement and drop them
off or mail them to: Ada County Highway District, Attention: Susan, 440
N Cloverdale Road, Boise, Idaho, 83713.
- ACHD will provide safety vests, trash bags and temporary warning signs. ACHD will dispose
of all collected trash. Safety training is also provided.
